Ride Levels

Each ride has a level so our riders can pick what works for them. If you're not sure what level you are, we suggest starting with a ride lower than you think you need and see how you do.

 

Flats mean how fast you can go when you're not climbing. The average speed is always lower because it includes any hills. 

A

17-19+ mph avg

>23 mph on flats

 

Demanding terrain, typically 30-60 miles. ‘A’ level rides will drop slower riders unless otherwise specified

B+

16 -18 mph avg

>20 mph on flats

 

Hilly terrain & steep climbs. Typically 30-50 miles

B

15 – 17 mph avg

18 mph on flats

 

Moderately hilly/rolling terrain & steep climbs. Typically 30-50 miles.

C+

14 – 16 mph avg

17 mph on flats

 

Moderately hilly/rolling terrain & steep climbs. Typically 25-40 miles

C

13 – 15 mph avg

16 mph on flats

 

Rolling terrain & moderate hills/climbs. Typically 20-30 miles

D+

12 – 14 mph avg

15 mph on flats

 

Flat/rolling terrain, often includes a hill climb. Typically 10-20 miles. Road/ hybrid bikes

D

10 – 12 mph avg

13 mph on flats

 

Flat/rolling terrain. Typically 10-15 miles. Road/ hybrid bikes

E

Introduction to Group Riding

<11 mph.

 

Flat terrain, short distance, low traffic roads. Focus is on learning basics of group riding & getting comfortable on your bike. All bikes welcome!

F

Child Friendly Rides. Fun, family-oriented rides for children with a parent/guardian. All participants under 18 require electronic waiver signed by a legal guardian
